Indian Giver

So, maybe Santa didn't get me everything from my list like I thought. It's okay though. I'm choosing to be positive and look at this as a good thing. I'm gonna stay in a good mood.

Bring on 2011

My Holiday season this year has been a rather exciting one (a bit of a sarcastic tone there). Since Thanksgiving there has been a whole lot going on but for me personally it's been a great time. I had the best Christmas I can ever remember having. I got everything on my list :-) and I really enjoyed the time I had off from work. From sleeping in, to spending time with family, to being with someone special I couldn't have asked for better. Oh yea, except for that blizzard that paid us a visit. All the snow really needs to be gone by New Years Eve so that I can make it to my festivities okay.. but I digress.

For the past year, or better yet the past two years, I have had my moments of negativity and of feeling stuck. I know that every year by the end of December people are talking about how great the new year will be and how much they are looking forward to the present year ending, or at least those of us who haven't had the best year are hoping it will end. I was feeling that way for a few months now. I still am very much looking forward to 2011 but despite a lot of ups and downs I had this year, it was a good year. Sometimes it got hard to be patient but I'm happy now. I'm hoping to make 2011 a year for new adventures, a new job, more money, moving out, more spontaneity and love & understanding.

SHOES!

What is it about shoes that makes us girls swoon? Most of us can be walking down the street and if we pass a shoe store we can't help but crack our necks lol. Anything from Stilettos to sandals to wedges to combat boots and we want them all! Even if you don't often wear that type of shoe, ya still want it and make excuses in your head for how and when you can wear them. I am not someone who goes out often or gets dressed up much but I love pumps and I love boots with a heel..I also have plenty of both, and they barely get worn. But I wouldn't give them up. The only time I give away my shoes (besides sneakers) is when the style doesn't appeal to me anymore or when I have just had them for so long and haven't worn them much that it doesn't make sense to have them occupy space another shoe can have. Most of us dream of a walk-in closet like Carrie's in the Sex And The City Movie (you know the one) just so that we can display our shoes like works of art. We tolerate uncomfortable shoes (sometimes) just because we are in love with a show. Is it because they make our legs look so good? They give our butts a lift? They give our outfit a little sex appeal? Whatever the reason, it is an addiction..but a good one ;-)
