New York City
It kind of sucks to live in New York City. Sometimes. Don't get me wrong I love my City, I was born and raised here and quite possibly want to die of old age here too. It's just so difficult to enjoy all the beauty and amenities this City has to offer when you spend all your time working, and then after work you only have time to eat dinner and shower before you have to get back to sleep and do it all over again. Everyone who comes here seems to think that all New Yorkers have been to the Empire State Building, up the Statue of Liberty, have gone to a Broadway show, or that we hang out at Central Park and Times Square all the time..granted, I have done some of these things but I really wish I had the time to do them more often. There's just so much to do! and see! I do try and find new things to do and places to see so that when my weekends are free I can have something exciting to do. Over the past year I have gone into exploring parts of Brooklyn I hadn't been to before, and I ended up discovering two of my favorite places to shop =-) but I can definitely do more to get to know my City better. We really need to put on our tourist goggles once in a while and appreciate all the things that make up our City.
