Closed Minds Don't Get Fed

I'm not sure if it's just me..but sometimes I really feel like I don't know people who have my same interests. Sure, people say to invite them when you want to go out certain places or when you want to try new things but I still end up doing a lot on my own. When I want to see a movie, try a new restaurant, take a dance class, or see a musical I find myself wondering who could possibly be interested. I find it to be a shame that I don't get to try all the things I want to because it simply wouldn't be as fun by myself. What's up with the people that only like to eat at the same restaurants? See the same kind of movies? And a night out involves their favorite club or bar and drinking? Maybe it's because I'm a Gemini and I get bored easily but I feel like I want to explore and do more with my free time. So even though it's likely I will continue to do things on my own, I am going to enjoy learning and exploring.

Outfit Of The Day

So I've started reading a new blog and I got inspired. From now on when I actually like the outfit I am wearing I am going to try and take a picture of it and share it here on the blog. Maybe this will add a little something different to the blog, something interesting? Guess we will see..

I kind of felt too sexy when I walked around at work and the sweater swayed lol. And I know my flats have a little scuff on the side but I think it's cause I'm a little pigeon-toed so when I walk my feet knock each other sometimes...oh well.

VMA's

I was just wondering...is this supposed to be my generation of MTV artists? Am I supposed to be watching the Video Music Awards knowing who all the nominees are and anticipating my favorites as the winners?
I used to watch the VMA's religiously. I would sing along to every performance, turn the volume up. I would take bets on who is going to win. But this year, I watched not really knowing some of the nominees. I watched not caring who won. I watched in anticipation of only two performances - one of which was cut too short for the home-viewing audience to see.
I just miss the days when Britney Spears would show up with N*SYNC. When No Doubt would get nominated. Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston were there. Eminem was just starting out. Do you remember when Chris Rock hosted and the audience actually laughed? Back in the days when quality songs were nominated and different people were winning the awards not just the same person over and over. I mean I like a few of the artists that were present and nominated this year. I enjoyed Linkin Park, B.O.B., Drake, Robyn (for the 30 seconds I saw of her) and Eminem's performance was cool. But there was also a lot I didn't care for: Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, the over saturation of Lady Gaga, Chelsea Handler wasn't very funny, Justin Bieber is kind of annoying, and Usher's performance could have given someone a seizure.

So, if this is my MTV generation I am a little sad and disappointed.

Lyric Time

"Aunque te hayas ido sigues conmigo
Siento el respiro de tu amor
Con un triste suspiro
Llega la noche
Y me platica de los dos.
Eterno fue lo que hubo entre tu y yo
Que nunca un adiós se contempló"

Thalia - Entre El Mar Y Una Estrella
